Our joinery workshop has been broken into twice within 6 weeks, with items stolen costing the charity hundreds of pounds

We have now installed CCTV and alarm systems costing us more money, but needed thanks to these criminals.

Thankfully there are far more good people out there than bad, and we have been helped by some amazing local people.

Firstly, Eileen Hartley from HELPERS contacted us saying that her charity is donating £500, a wonderful gesture and we are so grateful, thank you all.

Then we were contacted by several local musicians who offered to perform for us at a fund raising evening, so we have arranged that.

A great night out with fantastic music and awesome raffle prizes too including a 20 inch TV with integrated DVD, a voucher for a back massage and hair do worth £50, a bottle of Jack Daniels Whiskey and other surprise items too.

Pass the word!

A stitch in time!

Miranda Van Rossum, a lecturer at the University of Hull, is raising money for us in a really creative way.

Miranda said "For 2015, I have set myself a challenge which makes the stitchathon seem like a sprint by comparison - to do 1 cross stitch design a day, for 365 days, aiming to raise £2500 for 5 local charities, including Recycling Unlimited".

Thank you Miranda, a great idea!
